MINUTES OF THE REMOTE EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF BORTH COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD

ON FRIDAY 19th NOVEMBER 2021 AT 17.30 HOURS.

 209.  Cllrs R Davies, M Griffiths, J James and Cllr D Tweedy.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

210. Following recent emergency repair works to the climbing frame at the playground Cllr Bainbridge obtained three quotes from various companies to replace the item of equipment and sought information on available grants. 

All this information was circulated to members prior to the meeting. After a brief discussion the Council resolved to accept the quotation from Lapsett for a new climbing frame with associated works for the sum of £19,800.

Cllr Bainbridge intends to apply for a £10k grant from the All Wales Play Opportunity Grant funded through Welsh Government and asked whether Borth Community Council would fund the shortfall in the event that she is unsuccessful in securing more funding. Cllr Hughes proposed that the Council looks for other funding opportunities but will be prepared to finance any shortfall. 

The proposal was seconded by Cllr Morris with all members voting in favour.
